The Youth MInistry of Epiphany includes three different age groups involved with learning, service, worship, and fun that involves a bunch of awesome youth of every age.
Our Junior Youth includes ages Kindergarden though 5th Grade. This group meets regularly after worship on a designated Sunday for fellowship and fun learning activities. Our Junior youth are involved with special music during worship, Godly Play during our weekly Sunday School hour, summer VBS, and other specially planned activities and ministries throughout the year.
The Middle School group at Epiphany meets twice a month during the school year for FaithLife, a time of Confirmation Study and fellowship as they learn more about the Lutheran Christian Faith. During the summers, our Middle School youth have the opportunity to attend Passport Mission Camp, usually held on the campus of a near-by university, which allows the youth to learn more about mission opportunities and different faith related themes. To plan for Passport each summer, the youth and the families involved participate in FUNraisers to help them attend camp, which always provide great fellowship opportunities.
Sr. High youth at Epiphany have the opportunities to participate in many activities and ministries during the year. They have an active Sunday School class and participate in many service opportunities during the year. The group also meets on a regular basis, once a month, for special dinners and parties in the Fall and Winter. Each summer, a week-long Servant Trip is planned in a different city to assist non-profit helping agencies. During the summer of '14, the Sr. Highs went to Asheville, NC, staying at our camp and conference center, Lutheridge, and serving at downtown agencies through the week. Every three years, our Sr. Highs attend the ELCA National Youth Gathering where 36,000 Lutheran youth join together for discipleship, learning, worship, and fun!! In 2015, our youth attended the ELCA National Youth Gathering in Detroit, Michigan.
